The increasing complexity of technological products and the increasing pace with which technological developments reach the market prompt organizations to deploy multidisciplinary design teams as a means to attain or maintain competitive advantage. On top of this, designing itself is a complex matter. Moreover, design team members have to deal with the dynamics of teamwork. All in all, this sets a stage in which any recommendation is welcome that aids in improving design team composition or design processes in order to advance design team effectiveness.
