The Research Schools Beta (www.tue.nl/beta) and TRAIL (www.rstrail.nl) have decided to organize a joint conference, given the substantial overlap in the domains studied within both research schools and the potential efficiency and effectiveness gains by merging forces. This congress forms a unique two days event in which scientific and applied scientific research findings on mobilitiy and logistics are presented for scientists, professionals and others. Topics cover all fields of research of Beta and TRAIL, i.e. transport and mobility, infrastructure and traffic (including traffic management), supply chain management and logistics, ICT, human behaviour and innovation aspects. Some contributions are of a highly scientific nature (however, always with practical implications), other contributions explicitly show the usability of research findings. During this congress, Beta-TRAIL researchers will share their research findings and discuss the results. High-ranking keynote speakers will give their view on developments in the world of mobility and logistics.
Furthermore, special sessions, demonstrations and a knowledge market will give the participants ample opportunity to gain detailed insight into the world of mobility and logistics, as well as to meet each other.
